KOREA MOTORCYCLE RENTAL establishes and discloses this privacy policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act to protect users' personal information and to handle related complaints promptly and smoothly.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

The company processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed is not used for any purposes other than the following, and if the purpose of use is changed, necessary measures will be implemented, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

(1) Website Membership Registration and Management

  • Confirming the intention to register as a member, providing identity verification for member-only services, maintaining and managing membership, preventing fraudulent use of services, confirming the consent of the legal representative when processing personal information of children under 14, various notifications, and handling complaints.

(2) Marketing and Advertising

  • Providing event and advertising information and opportunities for participation, understanding the frequency of access, or compiling statistics on members' use of services.

2. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information

(1) The company processes and retains personal information within the period agreed upon when collecting personal information from the information subject. If the processing purpose is achieved or the service termination request is made by the information subject, the personal information will be destroyed without delay. Each personal information processing and retention period is as follows

① Website Membership Registration and Management: Until membership withdrawal.

② Provision of Goods or Services: Until the supply of goods/services is completed and payment/settlement is completed.

(2) However, if it is necessary to preserve information according to the provisions of relevant laws, the company retains member information for a certain period as stipulated in the relevant laws as follows

① Records related to contracts or withdrawal of subscriptions

  • Retention Period: 5 years

② Records on payment and supply of goods, etc.

3. Items of Personal Information Processed and Collection Methods

(1) Items of Personal Information Processed

① The company collects the following personal information for purposes such as membership registration, consultation, and service application

  • For General Membership Registration
    Required Items: Username, password, name, email, mobile phone number, date of birth, (for users under 14 years old) legal representative information
    Optional Item: Gender
  • For Product Orders
    Required Items: Order information (name, email, mobile phone number), delivery information (name, address, mobile phone number), (for non-member orders) order query password

② The following information may be generated and collected during the service use process or business processing
Service usage records, access logs, cookies, access IP information, payment records, usage suspension records, misuse records

(2) Collection Methods

  • Website, written forms, bulletin boards, email, event entries, delivery requests, telephone, fax, provision from partner companies, and collection through generated information collection tools

4. Procedures and Methods for Destroying Personal Information

When personal information becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved, the company will promptly destroy the personal information.

(1) Destruction Procedures
① If the retention period of the personal information, agreed upon by the information subject, has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved, but the personal information must be preserved according to other laws, the personal information will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location.
② Personal information transferred to a separate DB will not be used for other purposes except as required by law.

(2) Destruction Methods

① Information in electronic file format will be destroyed using technical methods that make the records unrecoverable.

② Personal information printed on paper will be shredded or incinerated to destroy it.

5. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Legal Representatives and Their Exercise Methods

(1) The data subject may exercise rights such as requesting access to, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of personal information at any time to the company.

(2) To view or modify the data subject's personal information, click "Change Personal Information" (or "Edit Member Information," etc.), and to cancel the subscription (withdraw consent), click "Withdraw Membership." After undergoing identity verification procedures, you can directly view, correct, or withdraw.

(3) Alternatively, if you contact the Personal Information Protection Officer in writing, by phone, or by email, we will take action without delay.

(4) The exercise of rights pursuant to paragraph (1) may be done through the legal representative of the data subject or an authorized agent. In this case, a power of attorney must be submitted according to the form in Annex No. 11 of the “Notification on Methods of Processing Personal Information (No. 2020-7).”

(5) Requests for access to and suspension of processing of personal information may be restricted by Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act. Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be requested if the personal information is specified as a collection target in other laws.

(6) The company verifies that the person making the request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing is the data subject or a legitimate representative when requests are made in accordance with the data subject's rights.

6. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information

The company takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

(1) Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, operation of a dedicated organization, and regular employee training.

(2) Technical Measures: Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, encryption of personal information, and installation and updating of security programs.

(3) Physical Measures: Access control to computer rooms, data storage rooms, etc.

7. Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Devices that Automatically Collect Personal Information

The company uses cookies to store and frequently retrieve user information to provide personalized services. Cookies are small pieces of information that the server sends to the user's web browser and are stored on the user's computer's hard disk.

(1) Purpose of Using Cookies

Cookies are used to provide optimized information to users by identifying the services and websites visited by the user, their usage patterns, popular search terms, and security connection status.

(2) Installation, Operation, and Rejection of Cookies

Users can refuse the storage of cookies by setting the options in the "Tools > Internet Options > Privacy" menu at the top of the web browser. However, if the storage of cookies is refused, there may be difficulties in using personalized services.

8. Matters Concerning the Personal Information Protection Officer

(1) The company designates a Personal Information Protection Officer to take overall responsibility for the processing of personal information and to handle complaints and relief from damage related to the processing of personal information.

(2) Data subjects can contact the Personal Information Protection Officer and the manager regarding any inquiries, complaints, or damage relief related to the protection of personal information that arise while using the company's services. The company will respond and handle the inquiries without delay.

9. Remedies for Infringement of Data Subject's Rights

(1) To receive relief from damages caused by personal information infringement, data subjects can request dispute resolution or consultation from the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, the Personal Information Infringement Report Center of the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and other related institutions. (2) If a data subject's rights or interests are infringed upon due to the actions or inactions of the head of a public institution regarding requests under Articles 35 (Access to Personal Information), 36 (Correction or Deletion of Personal Information), and 37 (Suspension of Processing of Personal Information) of the Personal Information Protection Act, they may file an administrative appeal according to the Administrative Appeals Act.
