Day 1
Seoul → Gunsan ~290Km / 180mile
Depart from Seoul, heading west towards the coast. Once outside the bustling city, you’ll find open roads stretching towards the sea, providing spectacular views along coastal routes. Take a short break at Sappyo Lake or Daecheon Beach before arriving in Gunsan. This charming historic harbor city, known for its early 1900s architecture, offers a memorable sunset over Korea’s western coastline to conclude your first day.
Day 2
Gunsan → Mokpo ~250km / 155mile
Start your day in Gunsan and travel south along the west coast. Enjoy riding the expansive Saemangeum seawall, an impressive road that feels like you’re gliding across the sea. Continue along the scenic cliffs of Byeonsan Peninsula, passing tranquil fishing villages and expansive mudflats. Your destination, Mokpo, awaits with its vibrant port atmosphere and fresh local seafood restaurants.
Day 3
Mokpo → Yeosu ~360km / 223mile
Today you’ll leave the west coast and journey along the southern coast towards Yeosu. On the way, ride through the lush green fields and the famous Boseong green tea plantations, Korea’s largest and most picturesque tea-growing region. Pass by Suncheon Bay’s famous reed marshes and mudflats, stopping at Haenam’s Ttangkkeut (“Land’s End”) village—the southernmost tip of mainland Korea. Arriving in Yeosu, you’ll be greeted by beautiful nighttime views of Dolsan Bridge and the sparkling sea.
Day 4
Yeosu → Busan ~420km / 260mile
Travel east along Korea’s scenic southern coast to Busan. This section of the journey features several iconic bridges connecting islands to the mainland, offering unique riding experiences. Take a break in Namhae’s German Village, a charming European-style village offering breathtaking sea views. Day 5

Today, ride northward along the stunning east coast towards Gangneung. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the expansive blue East Sea, especially at Homigot in Pohang—famous for being the easternmost point of Korea, where the sun rises first. The road along the coast is smooth and close to the ocean, perfect for a comfortable yet thrilling long-distance ride. Arrive in Gangneung in the evening to relax at beachfront cafés and enjoy the coastal town atmosphere.
Day 6
Gangneung → Goseong ~170km / 105mile
This day offers a shorter, leisurely ride from Gangneung to Goseong along Korea’s northeastern coastline. You’ll pass quaint fishing ports, scenic beaches, and pine forests. A short stop in Sokcho provides an opportunity to sample fresh seafood at local markets. As you approach Goseong and the end of Route 7, the roads become quieter, offering peaceful views near the DMZ region—an area known for its serene atmosphere and historical significance.
Day 7
Goseong → Seoul ~240km / 150mile
On the final day of your journey, depart Goseong and head back to Seoul through scenic mountain roads. Experience the fresh air and forest-lined curves of Gangwon Province’s iconic Misiryeong Pass before continuing along the beautiful riverside roads near Chuncheon. Upon returning to Seoul and dropping off your motorcycle, your special seven-day adventure comes to an end.
